My Antique Ballet Shoot

For a while now I have been wanting to create a world gone by of beautiful pale colours whimsical mystique and beautiful ballet.  I feel that world came alive in this shoot with the stunning actress Rukiya Bernard and her daughter Malaika.  Shot on location of Jericho Beach in Vancouver B.C. on an overcast afternoon right before game 5 of the Stanley Cup Play offs, a world was created of innocence and love.

The letters in this shoot are real letters from my father during World War Two and writing home to the ones he loved from over seas.  I felt each image tells a story of love only a mother can emanate for her little one while playing in the yard and hanging the clothes to dry.
