Rhonda Dent will now be offering the option to submit your images for STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY if you wish too!!

My Antique Ballet Shoot

For a while now I have been wanting to create a world gone by of beautiful pale colours whimsical mystique and beautiful ballet. I feel that world came alive in this shoot with the stunning actress Rukiya Bernard and her daughter Malaika. Shot on location of Jericho Beach in Vancouver B.C. on an overcast afternoon right before game 5 of the Stanley Cup Play offs, a world was created of innocence and love.

The letters in this shoot are real letters from my father during World War Two and writing home to the ones he loved from over seas. I felt each image tells a story of love only a mother can emanate for her little one while playing in the yard and hanging the clothes to dry.

This little man has become the new model for Rhonda Dent Photography! His parents Tirajeh and Johnathon are great friends of mine and I have had the joy of learning through all their trials and tribulations of becoming new parents! Niko is one cute little man! And after having such great results with a such a loving family shoot like this I have realized that I want to become Vancouver’s most sought after chickadee/baby birdies portrait photographer! It was such a revelation today when I purchased my 2nd pink tutu for an upcoming photo shoot that I realized “I love this!” I love photography, I love babies and most of all I love baby portraits! When I was a small girl I was that child who collected every Anne Geddes photo that crossed my path, it now only seems natural that as an adult I still have that same passion and drive to create gorgeous photographs of beloved little babes.

I hope you enjoy watching my creative style grow and develop over this next year in the lead up to launching my very own studio in East Van.

Getting ready for that special day that millions of women dream of since childhood can be daunting I am sure….(as I am yet to do it). However I have gone through the process of preparing to be ready for all the surprises that can happen on that magical day!

Top 3 things to remember for all you budding photographers out there:

1. Make sure all batteries are charged and you have back ups!

2. Have all addresses for locations ready and know how to get there.

3. Extra cards, cameras and flashes.
