1. What is your favourite Recipe?
I often make a yogurt dip — organic yogurt, turmeric, dill, salt and pepper, and a dash of coconut sugar. It’s a great way to get my daughter to eat her veggies — as she loves to dip them in it. Not only does it taste great, but it’s also really healthy for her. I also love it with chips —can’t go wrong with some chips & dip!
2. Top 3 things you can’t live without since becoming a mom?
Well, I suppose I could live without them… but I certainly make all efforts to afford
a. My cleaning lady every 2nd week
b. A foot massage once a month
c. Concealer for my tired eyes
3. Fav bed time story?
Someday, by Alison McGhee
4. What is the biggest surprise to becoming a mom?
How little sleep I actually need.
5. Who’s the biggest influence in your life?
6. If you could do one thing to change the world what would it be and why?
It would be to rid our oceans and water ways of the pollution we have tossed into it. My children, and my future grandchildren need to have a planet we can live off of — and with clean waters and water ways, we might have a chance of changing the world back to where it is not genetically engineered, or chemically enhanced. The amount of toxins we digest thru our skin, toss in our mouths, and in our children’s mouths is absurd… The sad part is, most people don’t even know the damage. With clean water, we might have a chance….
7. What did you want to be when you grow up?
it was a toss up between a musical theatre actress or a movie director.
8. What’s your guilty pleasure?
9. What has changed the most in your life since having a child?
My happiness. I’m filled with happiness and love, even when I’m having a bad day. The glass is always half full, rather then half empty. I fully comprehend how blessed I am to be a mom, and I am continually grateful and happy because of it.
10. What is the best kiddie hot spot? For daily adventures?
Granville Island. -In the summer I can’t go wrong with a trip to their water park, duck feeding area, and outside market. It’s a lovely bike ride to get there, and there is enough to do to entertain kiddies for a while.
And it’s equally a fantastic hot spot in the winter when the rain has hit. The indoor kiddie jungle gym lets them burn off energy and have fun. Just remember to wash their hands, as it’s often packed:)
